In the state of Virginia, for example, monitoring of researchers at Virginia Tech shows the number of political ads reached 90,000. This number is expected to rise ahead of election day.

For comparison, the same period four years ago, political advertising in the state is only 7,000.

The volunteers work directly in the middle of the citizens to rally support.

The rise in advertising spend by a team of Obama and Romney in this election due to several factors.

Among these are the tight battle between Obama and Romney. Various national polls show they competed fiercely.

Romney popularity rising, especially after the first presidential debate in early October.

Secondly, Obama's decision to opt for raising funds from the public in 2008, making Obama to accept public donations as much as possible.

This decision helped Obama beat Republican presidential candidate, John McCain, four years ago.

The third, a court decision that allows a group or candidate support organizations collect donations from anywhere without limits.

The money raised, among others, to finance advertising in hopes of messages delivered will influence voters.

And it looks like both Obama and Romney all-out war over this ad, until the early morning airtime was purchased.
